It’s impossible to be a Grinch in Arizona’s official Christmas town! Prescott celebrates vacations like nowhere else in Grand Canyon State. Millions of lights adorn the Palace of Justice Square, and the world’s largest gingerbread village commands a resort hall. Drive or walk through a dazzling light show, or shop for Christmas gifts at a boutique. It’s the best Christmas town in Arizona!
In these uncertain times, keep safety in mind and consider adding destinations to your bucket-to-visit list at a later date.
One glance at the Town Square at Christmas, and you’ll understand why Prescott was chosen to defend such a prestigious title.

Singing troupes have settled all over the city, eager to share their Christmas joy with anyone who is willing to listen to them. Quaint shops surround Courthouse Plaza, selling handmade gifts that your loved ones will be delighted to find under the tree.

With animal-themed light installations and other festive decorations, as well as seasonal treats like hot chocolate, the display is simply magical. Tickets cost $ 10 per person ($ 7 for zoo members).

From 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. every night until December 30, the drive-through event features spectacular light tunnels and other festive displays. Entrance is free, but donations are accepted at the end of the journey.

The village consists of over 1,000 gingerbread houses provided by local businesses and organizations. The motto “It takes a village to make a village” is even more charming. A real statement, indeed – and the result is quite a sight to behold!

The city sees an average of 20 inches per year, but it is extremely variable. So cross your fingers and hope for a white Christmas when you visit!
