Cristiano Ronaldo was ready to take a pay cut to join Borussia Dortmund: Report

“I’d like to hear what Spalletti thinks about this suggestion from Cristiano Ronaldo, after a good build of a competitive team, if he let Ronaldo get in the way,” he told TMW Radio.

“Some players have started a phase of decline, maybe he is still scoring goals, but he is playing for himself. Why put a problem at home?”

According to Agostinelli, there are still some attitude issues with Ronaldo which make him difficult to fit into the team.

“He [Spalletti] has a good set of attacking options and if the Portuguese arrives he still has to play and by force. I’m very convinced that Spalletti doesn’t even want him.”

Agostinelli has also suggested that Napoli should be open to selling Victor Osimhen if an offer of around €100m arises. But, even then, Ronaldo shouldn’t be signed.

“If you get 100 million euros, you have to give a player straight away, whatever his name is. Then you deal with the situation in a certain way, but you don’t have to go and get Cristiano Ronaldo .”
