‘Fun’ family event planned at Promenade shops

The Promenade Shops of Saucon Valley, located in Center Valley, is home to dozens of retail stores, restaurants and service providers. The upscale mall was the Lehigh Valley area’s first outdoor lifestyle center when it opened in 2006.

With Labor Day in the rearview mirror, many area businesses and organizations are announcing lineups for fall events and Saucon Valley’s Promenade Shops are no exception.

On Wednesday, the Upper Saucon Township Outdoor Mall announced an event that will roughly coincide with the arrival of fall later this month.

Camp Promenade – described as a fun, family-friendly event organized in conjunction with “local partners and on-site tenants” – will take place on Saturday, September 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. (rain date: Sunday, September 25). ), according to a press release about it.

“During Camp Promenade, guests can take part in a wide range of activities, including airplane building, a police dog obedience bite work demonstration, children’s crafts, sales, lessons fitness, styling events, wagon ride and shows,” the statement said.

Attendees will also be able to participate in giveaways, including one offering a chance to win two round-trip plane tickets on Allegiant Air.

Shoppers who spend $50 or more while visiting Camp Promenade can bring their receipts the same day to the redemption table at the center and receive a free Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley lawn chair, the statement also said.

Admission to the event is free and open to the public, and pre-registration is not required.
