Ignite Teen Treatment Announces New Outpatient Treatment Program Bringing Help and Comfort to Teens

Outpatient services are available for mental health and addiction issues and crisis support.

(LAS VEGAS) Ignite Teen Treatment, a residential facility for adolescents, now offers outpatient services. The program deals with adolescent mental health and addiction. Emotions, anxiety, confusion and fear are now escalating with the pandemic affecting teens.

Chris Gordon, Community Liaison Officer and Director of Business Development for the Intensive Outpatient Program for Ignite Teen Treatment.

Programs being developed for adolescents will include individual, group and family therapy. “The family component to achieving good mental health for all is extremely important,” says Chris Gordon, community liaison and business development director for the Intensive Outpatient Program for Ignite Teen Treatment.

Full-day programming, as well as afternoon and evening trails, is offered and a licensed therapist facilitates all trails. Full day outpatient treatment for adolescents includes educational support and a full day therapy program. The evening program provides homework support and will offer transportation to certain areas / schools upon request. Gender-specific programming is also available. Psychiatric, experiential support (music with a full studio, art, psychodrama, life skills, yoga) all of these modalities are integrated to help achieve a positive outcome.

According to Chris, in his personal experience working in treatment programs, teens and young adults make up 50 to 60 percent of those who need help. Of this group, 70 percent of those numbers are men.

When Chris met Mendi Baron, LCSW, CEO, he discovered Mendi’s passion and advocacy for adolescents in need of mental health treatment. Mendi’s vast experience as a therapist and his desire to help the community inspired him to start three treatment centers, including Ignite Teen Treatment.

“When I met Mendi and he explained to me what he was doing in his adolescent treatment center, I was intrigued. I wanted to work with him to help the teens now so they don’t have to suffer as adults before they get help, ”says Chris.

Outpatient programs can help keep teens at home and provide an alternative for those who do not require inpatient treatment. With COVID-19, the development of outpatient programs is adapting to the current climate as well as the future to help adolescents cope with an uncertain world.

“In these difficult times, people should be able to access care, especially for adolescents at a vulnerable time in their lives,” says Mendi.
