New outdoor space at Exeter Library | Community

EXETER – The Exeter Public Library invites library users of all ages to enjoy our newly renovated outdoor terraces. Now furnished with tables and seating, including rocking chairs facing the river, these three season terraces are fully covered and ADA accessible. Relax in the fresh air, read in the great outdoors, or enjoy food and drink in these designated areas.

Both decks are accessible from the main adult services level.

Save the date – stop by and check out the new deck spaces at our next open house, Thursday August 19, 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

The purchase of the outdoor furniture was made possible in part by an American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the New Hampshire State Library. The Institute of Museum and Library Services is the primary source of federal support for libraries and museums across the country.

We advance, support, and empower U.S. museums, libraries, and related organizations through grantmaking, research, and policy development.

Our vision is a nation where museums and libraries work together to transform the lives of individuals and communities. To learn more, visit www.imls.gov and follow us on Facebook and Twitter.

The Exeter Public Library is located at 4 Chestnut Street in Exeter.
