OTTUMWA, Iowa (KCRG) – Minnesota police have charged Brett David Little, 40, with felony sexual conduct in the 3rd degree with force or coercion.
Officials say in April 2019, officers responded to a report of a sexual assault that occurred in the 4200 block of Snelling Ave in Minneapolis.
Police records indicate that a victim and a friend were drinking in Uptown Minneapolis. At 2 a.m., the two felt buzzed and struggled to find an Uber to get home. They were approached by an individual now believed to be Little, and three other men. The men suggested that the woman join the men in their Uber and drive to their rental house where they would have an easier time getting an uber.
The memory of the victim, who police say was fragmented due to his alcohol impairment, recalled sitting on a couch at home and feeling heavy and paralyzed. She then came to, with Little sexually engaging her body.
The victim cried and tried to call her friend for help, but Little reportedly put her hand over her mouth and sometimes put a pillow over her face. The victim also remembers that he had his hands on his throat.
Around 6:15 a.m., the victim woke up with his clothes on the floor. She woke up her friend and left. Her friend corroborated her account of the evening they spoke to investigators about the assault.
The victim went to the hospital for a sexual assault examination approximately 36 hours after the assault. Swabs were taken and determined that the victim and Little could not be ruled out as a source of the swab mix, but 99.999997% of the population could.
Brett David Little has been charged with 3rd degree criminal sexual conduct with force or coercion. His bail was set at $100,000 with a no-contact-victim condition upon his release.
