A HARRY POTTER-inspired apartment in the heart of Edinburgh has gone on sale for £315,000.
The two-bedroom property, in the Canongate area of Scotland’s capital, looks normal from the outside, but it’s a Potterhead’s dream once you walk through the front door.

Located in the town where author JK Rowling began writing the best-selling fantasy novels, the unique apartment is filled to the brim with enchanting decor.
The master bedroom has been set up like a Gryffindor dormitory, with a four-poster bed and candles that seem to float.
The rare property also has a second, smaller double bedroom which has been styled like a Hogwarts Express carriage.
A cozy living room is decorated like the Gryffindor common room, while the hallway is covered in portrait wallpaper.
The kitchen continues the theme with a mural of a Dumbledore-like figure, a dragon, and a tree that resembles the Whomping Willow from the books.
A white owl that resembles Harry’s loyal pet Hedwig has also been hung on the wall in a final nod to the fictional series.
Keys and various other magical items are featured throughout the Magical House, which was decorated by Harry Potter fan and owner Yue Gao.
Estate agent Aberdein Considine listed the property yesterday for offers over £315,000, saying: ‘This magical, rare and unique third floor apartment is sure to leave you spellbound.
“Beautifully updated and decorated by a renowned interior designer, the magical theme of this property is truly spellbinding.
“The attention to detail of this wonderful home will only be fully appreciated after an internal inspection and the property should ideally be sold fully furnished and as seen.
“The theme of the apartment is evident from the moment you walk through the front door with stylish wallpaper and furnishings setting the scene for the rest of the property.
“There are three closets in the hallway providing excellent storage.
“The master bedroom also has two windows to the front as well as a full wall of full height curtains, a closet with hanging space and a stunning four poster bed.
“Bedroom two has been designed to replicate a train cabin with a built-in bed and built-in closet.”
ENVIRONMENTAL HOUSE
Social media users were impressed with the property when the agent teased several images earlier this month.
Carrie-ann Holland said: “We’ve found our next home. I wonder if there’s a cupboard under the stairs for the little boy?
Sarah Davidson added: “Cancel the new house, that’s what you want.”
And Victoria Slater joked: “Magic apartment Accio.
“I need this in my life.”
The first novel, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, was released in June 1997.
It was written by JK Rowling at the Elephant House Café in Edinburgh and followed the lives of Harry himself and his best friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger.
It was later spun off into a film franchise, which ended in 2011, and there have since been two spin-off films and a West End show.
